Join the lab!

The Fitch lab is currently in expansion mode and looking to recruit curious, committed, passionate researchers at all career stages!

My goal is to foster a lab environment where we work collaboratively to answer important questions, where each individual is able to chart their own path while contributing to the whole. Where we get to think big and do cool science and have fun doing it. The lab values and benefits from diverse perspectives. Having forged a somewhat meandering and non-traditional path to academia, I respect and appreciate the same in others.

We are fortunate to be a part of the amazing Centre for Bee Ecology, Evolution, and Conservation (BEEc) at York, which offers great opportunities to collaborate with other researchers studying bees and grow our professional network.

Prospective post-docs

I am always interested in discussing potential post-doc research projects, and am happy to collaborate on proposal-writing to fund the project.  If you are interested in joining the lab, please reach out with some information about your background and research interests: gmfitch@yorku.ca.
